TRIP ITINERARY FOR LONDON, CANTERBURY, STRATFORD, SALISBURY, GLASTONBURY, AND ALTON

             Day 1
Depart for London, England.

                                       Day 2  
You will be greeted at Heathrow Airport by your guide/escort and transfer to the hotel. Visit London on a leisurely walking tour of Kennsington. After lunch on your own at one of the many sandwich shops, then it's off to the London Eye. Visit Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. Dinner this evening is on your own in the lively Victoria Place Station with your guide. Overnight in London. B

                                                   Day 3
This morning the guide will pick you up to tour the West End and Westminster Abbey. Depart by train for Windsor. After lunch on your own, visit Windsor Castle. Enjoy dinner on your own before 8:00pm theatre, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare" abridged. Your guide will walk you to the hotel after the show. Overnight in London. B

                                                   Day 4
After breakfast consider attending Mass at Westminster Cathedral. Next it's to the Tower of London. In the afternoon, have lunch and visit the London Museum. At 5:55pm meet the bus at Aldwych to take the "Bus Trip to Murder". You will have the opportunity to buy dinner on your own at the Pub stop. The bus will return the group to the hotel. Overnight in London. B



                                        Day 5
Begin your day with a morning panoramic tour of London, including Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guards. Continue on to Hampton Court Palace. Dinner this evening and overnight in London.  B/D


                                                  Day 6
Board your private coach with your luggage for a stop at St. Paul's Cathedral before leaving London for Canterbury. Upon arrival, eat lunch on your own. Visit the Cathedral and Chaucer's colorful Canterbury Tales. Dinner and overnight in Canterbury. B/D

                                                  Day 7
Board the bus for your return to London via Greenwich. Visit the Old Royal Observatory and view the Cutty Sark. Next on to the Millennium Dome and then to the hotel in London. Dinner is on your own. Maybe a movie. Overnight in London. B

                                     Day 8
Depart with your luggage, for Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Visit Mary Arden's Farm and Shakespeare's Birthplace Museum. Have lunch on your own in Stratford, and then on to Warwick Castle for a visit. This evening dinner, followed by a theatre performance by the Royal Shakespeare Company, "Comedy of Errors". Overnight at the Coach House Hotel in Stratford.  B/D

                                                   Day 9
Depart for Bath, driving by the Royal Crescent and Circus, and then stopping at the Roman Baths. Enjoy lunch on your own. This afternoon visit the mystical Neolithic Monuments of Stonehenge, and then on to Salisbury for a tour of the Cathedral at Salisbury. The evening will be spent in Salisbury with dinner. B/D

                      Day 10
After breakfast for a visit of the Wookey Hole Showcaves, and then a stop at the Chalice Well. Later in the afternoon, visit the Glastonbury Abbey with the possibility of a climb up Glastonbury Tor before dinner. Dinner and overnight in Glastonbury. B/D

                      Day 11
Board your bus for a visit of Cadbury Castle in Camelot. Then drive on to Avebury for lunch. Visit Winchester Cathedral and the Great Hall. Dinner and the evening in Alton. B/D

                     Day 12
Depart the hotel for Jane Austen's home in Chawton for a. Then depart for Heathrow airport for your transatlantic flight home. B
