TRIP ITINERARY TO PARIS, NORMANDY, AND NICE

                             Day 1
Depart for your transatlantic flight. Arrive in Paris.
 

                                                     Day 2
You will be greeted at the airport by your bilingual ETS guide/escort for a transfer to the hotel with a guided city tour. Next, it's off to the Louvre for a guided tour of the Museum, with its "Venus", "Winged Victory" and Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa". Exit through I.M. Pei's glass pyramid to the Place de la Concorde. Stroll up the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. Dinner is in the young and lively Les Halles area. Overnight in Paris. B/D


                                                    Day 3
After breakfast depart for the impressionist d'Orsay Museum for a guided tour. Next, enjoy a walking tour of the Ile de Cite and the Ile St. Louis, and then visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame. This evening, dinner in the artistic Montmartre area with the Sacre Coeur Basilica. Enjoy a Bateaux Mouches boat ride on the Seine in the evening. Overnight in Paris. B/D

                                                   Day 4
After breakfast this morning, visit the Eiffel Tower for a view of Paris. Return to the hotel and board the bus for the Normandy coast. Enjoy dinner this evening in Bayeux. Overnight in Bayeux.  B/D

                                                   Day 5
Depart for the Invasion Beaches of Omaha and Utah, including the American Cemetery. Then visit the Abbey on Mont St. Michel. Enjoy dinner and spend the evening in Dinard.  B/D


                                  

                              Day 6
 Depart Dinard for your return to Paris, via the gardens of Monet at Giverny. On your arrival in Paris, take the TGV train to Marseille in the south of France, arriving in the evening. Transfer to the hotel in Aix. Dinner will be upon arrival. Overnight in Aix-en-Provence. B/D

                                                Day 7
Depart today and visit the impressive Roman aquaduct of the Pont du Gard. Then visit Les Baux and have lunch there on your own. Experience the sound and light show of the Cathedral des Images. This evening, walk the tree-lined Cours Mirabeau in Aix-en-Provence and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Aix-en-Provence. B/D

                                                Day 8
 Depart the hotel in the morning for Nice via the Chapelle de la Rosarie and St. Paul de Vence. This afternoon enjoy Old Nice and the Promenade des Anglais before dinner. Overnight in Nice, with dinner. B/D

 

 

                                             Day 9
Take the scenic train ride from Nice to Monaco, the small principality between France and Italy. Enjoy your evening and dinner, on your own, in Nice. B

                                             Day 10
Transfer to the Nice airport for your transatlantic flight home. B
